There are many local organisations helping people cope with cost-of-living increases, including advice, money and getting together to keep warm. Help with money issues
Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council has a Cost of Living Assistance Fund that residents can apply to directly.
Hampshire County Council is providing grants to households and organisations to help them through the cost-of-living crisis, covering schools, food vouchers, social care, utilities, housing and even air fryers. See connect4communities.org
Kingsclere Charities has funds available for residents of Kingsclere and Ashford Hill with Headley to help with costs such as enabling assistance in the home, transport to hospital, educational costs and young adult educational costs. Contact them through their website or by email to [email protected].
Citizens Advice in Tadley can offer a wide range of assistance including help with applications for Universal Credit and PIP (including appeals), budgeting and dealing with debts/arrears. Contact them on 03444 111 306 or on their website.

The Fieldgate Centre has regular events and get-togethers
St Mary's Church - in addition to services and other events the church will also be heated at the following times each week:
Thursdays 10.30am - Morning Worship followed by refreshments in the church
Thursdays 2.30-4pm Community Larder
Saturday Coffee Morning 10-12 (apart from the one week per month that it's in the village club)
Sundays 10.30am - church service followed by refreshments
Methodist Church
Coffee Morning, 10.30 - 12.00 every Thursday morning.

Other help locally
The Community Furniture Project in Basingstoke and Newbury offers a wide variety of household goods and furniture at low prices, with further reductions for those receiving benefits and pensioners. They are also running a Christmas Toy Santa's Grotto, available by token. More information here.
